Wounded

Yesterday Robin was out at the houses showing our friend Chad how to lay laminate flooring. The section of floor broke and flipped up and hit robin in the lip. He had to go and get three stitches.
So how is the house going? well... they say we will all be in by march 15. I am doubtful. we still have so much to do. A month or so ago we got our cabinets and I was so excited to see mine and they were wrong. Nothing about them were right wrong wood wrong stain. So we are waiting for our cabinets. We do have In all our lights it really adds to our home. We are being kept busy by building fence and putting in other peoples floors. We are so excited and can't wait to move into our new house.

Kenidee loves books. She will often be sitting in her "hole" (where all the toys are she calls it that) reading. She has many books memorized but this book has been well loved. all tutus should be pink by sheri brownrigg. She has every word of every page memorized and if I happen to skip a page she tells me mom you skipped the page... then she tells me what page I missed. We read this book every nap time and bed time for months. She has slept with it more times then I can count.
I have a little bit of OCD. Books have to be nice. In fact I have put books away because she was bending them. I soon gave up on books being perfect. Kenidee loves to read, I figured a few bent books would be fine. I just can't look at them. This book is so bad I have considered getting her a new one. What do ya think?

Birth Announcment

I cant believe that our little guy is 2 months old! he is getting so big, and so strong.He loves to talk and smile, I love his smile and showing off his cute dimple. At his 2 month appointment he was 11 lbs. 15 oz and 22 inches long. we love having him in our family.

Blessing Weekend.

On Sunday we Blessed Bennett. We had so many people come to his blessing. MaMa JUJU and Papa SKip. Great-Grandma Markham. Liz and her kids, My Aunt Lisa, Annie and her family. Before everyone got here I had been telling Kenidee who was coming to see us, after I got done telling her everyone her eyes got so big and said Yea we are going to have a party!
Party we did. The weekend seemed so short but we had so much fun. Friday we went to dinner with Robins family. We went to Texas Road House. I love the food there. Saturday Robin's Grandma made us Norwegian pancakes and ham. (his family traditional Christmas breakfast)We had my family over for dinner. Then Robin got his birthday present from me early American Idol 2 for the Wii. it is so fun we sang our hearts our till late at night.
Sunday Robin did such a good job and blessing Bennett. My sister said that she thinks that Bennett will think it was cool that he was blessed on super bowl Sunday. After his blessing we went to my grandmas for soup. we had so much food! It was so good. Thank you everyone for your help.
Then it was over to Justen and Bri's for a Super Bowl party. Needless to say we all ate way to much.
It was so good to see Robins Family. We wish we lived closer to them so we could see them more and so his brothers could have been her with us.

how do people do it?

We are still around, just finding time to blog is almost impossible. (oh and our Internet has been down for awhile.) We have been busy and still trying to get into the swing of things. Kenidee has been I think having a bit of a hard time with a new brother but I think she is getting more use to the idea that he is here to stay. She is so cute to Bennett. She will often bring books to him and read to him. If he starts crying you can bet that Kenidee is running to see what is wrong and how she can help him.
A few funny stories
Kenidee really wanted a bottle, I told her she was a big girl and if she needed a drink I would get her a sippy, and bottles were for babies. She got so mad and said to me " I am a baby look I got cute cheeks!"

After church one day I was at home with Bennett and I could Kenidee singing all the way in the house. "sing sing sing I like to sing. Sing sing sing I like to sing." when she gets in the door she leans on the closed door and says " Mon I had a great time and nursery."

My dad told Kenidee one day that she was such a Sweetheart, she got so mad and yelled to him No papa my name is KENIDEE LUANA MARKHAM!

Aunt Bri was teasing her that she was going to take her baby (Bennett) home with her. Well Kenidee got upset and told her that Bennett was her baby. We put Kenidee to bed before they left and I didn't really think about it again. Well the next morning Kenidee went to Bennett's bed and he wasn't there, She was so upset and crying "Aunt bri took my Bennett!" I had to show her that Bennett was on my bed before she would believe me that Bri left Bennett with us.

We ran out of gas the other night, Robin pushed us to the gas station. I was chanting push daddy push. Kenidee started joining in then... All of a sudden she told me she was scared and she just wanted her daddy.

Rachelle and I went to Jonny Cariono's yesterday and the lighting at our table was dim... and the music playing was Italian music but it was a slow. Kenidee said to me mom I think this place is creepy!

As some of you may remember last year I tried my hand at bread making... it didn't turn out at all! So I made Banana Bread.... It was BEAUTIFUL! I had to take pictures.

Rachelle Gave Kenidee a hat and gloves for Christmas and she wouldn't take them off the other day. First just had her hat and gloves on with her diaper. Then I got her dressed and she had me put her gloves on her feet so she could be a monkey. She sat on the couch and started watching a cartoon, she was in her own world she didn't even know I was there. Not one "CHEESE" picture. I decided that I would see how close I could get taking pictures.

She was not smiling at me she was smiling at whatever she was watching on tv.






Our house is all painted! Thank you Justen and Rodney. I will have to go and take pictures. The program that we are in wont let us paint color until we move in so it is all white but it looks so much like a house now. We think we will be in out house in march. I so hope so!

Time sure flys

Being the good mom that I am I decided that I needed to cut Kenidee's hair. Rachelle and I had done it before when it got to mullet looking, so I thought hey what the heck, I had just gotten kenidee out of the tub and her hair was wet so I thought what a better time. I did what we had done before is twist the hair and just give it a little trim... well I think her hair has gotten thicker because it didn't quite go like that. I don't know exactly what I did but right in the middle of her neck her hair was so short, but it was still long on the sides. So I did what any mom would do. Vow NEVER to cut her hair again and go and get it fixed.
I was sad because her hair was getting so long and she could have two cute piggie tails. Her big ole'bows were looking so cute in her hair and I had bought 2 more sets. I knew that after I got her hair fixed I would have to say goodbye to big bows for awhile. Cute as a bug bows was very understanding and let me switch my 2 new big bows for smaller ones.


I took Kenidee to the same lady that cuts my hair, she was so good with Kenidee. Kenidee was so excited that she got a sucker after she was finished.
Pictures are so out of order but you still can see what a good girl she was and how cute her hair is. I will need to take pictures of it when it is all done with a bow in it. She looks so big with her hair in a little a line bob thing. I love it and her hair looks so much better.

Bennett is one month old! I had to pinch myself. I couldn't believe it. He is so fun and growing so much at his last appt. he was
9 lbs 2 oz 20 1/4 inches long but I don't think they streached him out good.
He has found his tounge and is starting to talk, and is getting really good at holding his head up.
he hates sleeping in is bed and would rather sleep snuggled up to someones chest. (this we must break)
he is such a cuddle bug. I love it. We love having him in our family.
Kenidee decided he needed her cat so she made him hold it. she is such a good big sister and a big helper. she always wants to hug and kiss him and she tells me mom hes so cute

Just a quick house update.
our house will be all trimed today or tomorrow then we will be waiting to paint. yippee! We think we will be in the house in Feb. yahoo!
