Memorial Day

Memorial day this year was so cold, wet and the wind blew like crazy. Robin and Eli didn't even get out of the car. It was just too cold for a baby. Kenidee and Bennett and the other cousins didn't see to mind that it was FREEZING outside. They all ran and played. I didn't get to many pictures of this day I wish I would have taken pictures of the flower arrangements my grandma, mom and Rebecca made. They were beautiful. I love memorial day it reminds me of when I was a kid. We would all go to Aunt Bettys and tons aunts and cousins would make floral arrangements the Sunday before. I loved how the garage would smell. When they were all done we would load up a funeral home van with the dozens of arrangements. I loved how all the flowers looked tight together in boxes until the next day.
Memorial day also meant new outfits. I loved getting a memorial day outfit. Sometimes all the cousins would match or we all just looked all spiffy in our new summer outfit. After we would visit both the Rigby and Annis Cemeteries and see cousins we don't see all the time. After we were done cleaning stones and placing flowers and watching the flag ceremony, we were off to a picnic at a park or in the back yard or inside depending on the weather. I just love all the memories I made with my family during this day.

Rebecca had the right idea of what to wear this fine day. I wish I would have thought of it.

Eli's Blessing

We blessed Eli on May 22,2011 It was such a nice day, and so good to have our families with us. The men who stood in the circle were Robin (who gave the blessing) Grandpa Glen,Grandpa Skip,Great Grandpa Bruce, Uncle Clair, Uncle Terry (who surprised us and came up for the blessing I was one happy girl) Uncle Justen, Uncle Randy and Bishop Dunn. After the blessing we went to Grandma Luana's and Papa Bears to have a little lunch. It was a perfect day. We are so blessed to have Eli in our family, he is so sweet and is growing and getting so big. We love you Eli.

When I saw this picture it was so strange to see all of us together I feel like we are such a "big" family. Really there are five of us!

Most of the men that stood in the cirlcle. Terry Great-Grandpa Bruce, Papa Skip, Robin, Eli, Papa Glen, Justen, and Randy.

Grandma Shauna and Papa Glen
Papa Skip and Juju came from Washington to be with us on this special day. We love having them come to visit. It is sad that they live so far away so we don't see them enough, so when they come it is a party.

Eli's Uncle Chris has a hard time keeping his tounge  in his mouth for pictures so this one is for you Uncle Chris.

Preschool Graduation!

Kenidee loved Pre-school. She had such good teachers and she made such good friends. She learned a lot and we learned so many new songs in our house. Kenidee got to go on field trips to so many places, she went to the dentist, to a pumpkin patch, the airport, a nursery, to a nursing home to "sing for old people" the library, fire station, and a snow day. I know I am missing some but she loved every second of preschool.
Kenidee misses pre-school, in fact today she asked me if I would pretend she was gone to school and we could go and "get her" from school just so she could see if someone was there. She gets a little emotional and a little teary that she hasn't seen her pre-school friends in such a long time.
At Graduation I was going to film the whole thing but I flip froze after 11 min and I had to take out the batteries, and I guess the camera didn't save it. I was so sad but I did get a few short shots of her graduation. I loved watching her sing and say her few parts. Kenidee had to say what she wanted to be when she grows up (she wants to own and ice cream shop) and recite the nursery rhyme little miss muffit with anther girl in her class.
After graduation we had to let Bennett "graduate" he thinks he is so big. He went up and sat in the chairs up front until we pretended to give him a certificate. Then papa Glen took us to a nice lunch at Broulims deli. It was just perfect. I can not believe that my baby girl is done with pre-school and off to kindergarten. I have had my few good cries. I can only imagine what this fall is going to be like letting my baby girl get on the big yellow bus all alone and go so far away to school. I think I might be a big mess that day.

Dancing to my favorite song ball in the jack. she does this so cute!

oh paris!

This would be so fun to win! I need some sort of vacation:)
